2 New Hat Designs

Both hats are knitted with Malabrigo Rios which is one of my favorite yarns to work with. I did an easy to knit pattern stitch for the bands and kept it simple for the rest of the hat.
Writing the patterns this week and hope to List on Ravelry next week..

Starting Over

I ripped out the first attempt at this hat design I'm working on because it was too big even though I did a Swatch. Plus, I didn't like the reverse stockinette stitch.  The second time I did the ribbing in a US 7 and the body in a US 8.  I'm not going to kid you it was painful since it was almost finished. But, worth it to get a Design I'm happy with. Needless to say I LOVE this Malabrigo Rios yarn!  The yarn and the hat sample will be at The Little Knittery when we reopen in September.

RASPBERRY FIELDS BEANIE

Winter is on its way and I’m totally into Designing Hats.  You just can’t have too many if you ask me.  I wanted to design a lose fitting Beanie with an easy lace edge, fun color combination and top it off with a yummy pompom.  I imagine this hat being perfect for ice skating, which I did a lot of when I lived in New York City.  I even had an Ice Skating Birthday Party at Rockefeller Center.

EZY LOG CABIN BABY BLANKET #2

Last year I designed The Ezy Log Cabin Blanket/Throw and I was asked many times to do a Baby Blanket Version so I Designed one with Berroco Modern Cotton. Now I am offering one using Malabrigo Rios a wonderful Pure Merino Super wash. My inspiration was the Pennsylvania Dutch Amish Quilts.  I love their bold geometric patterns and dynamic color combinations.  My Pattern can be PURCHASED on RAVELRY

TRELLIS COWL

MALABRIGO MECHA PURE MERINO SUPER WASH WOOL

There is nothing more popular than knitting a Cowl-it's quick and makes a great gift.  I wanted to do a project using Malabrico Mecha Pure Merino Super Wash since it knits up so soft and comes in a bunch of wonderful colors and if that's not enough you can machine wash your project in cold water.  The stitch pattern I uses is EASY and fun to work up so this project moves really fast.
