One of the knitters who purchased my Earth Lap Blanket Pattern sent me photos of the two blankets she knit for her Dogs.  SO CUTE I had to share.

EZY LOG CABIN BABY BLANKET #3

This is the third version of this Design.  I first knit it using Berroco Modern Cotton.  I than knit it using Malabrigo Rios and this time I used Blue Sky Alpaca Worsted Cotton.  My inspiration was the Pennsylvania Dutch Amish Quilts.  I love their bold geometric patterns and dynamic color combinations.  This blanket starts with a center panel that has three colors worked in a stripe pattern. You than pick up stitches for each side panel and work in a stripe pattern. This is an easy and fun project with Bold results.

Raspberry Fields Shrug

Shrugs are fast and fun to knit and perfect to wear year round. That being said I figured it was time for me to Design one and Knit it up.  I wanted it to have a modern feeling, be easy and fast to knit up with some detail to add interest.  This is what I came up with.
